강의내용:

본 강의는 탈근대성(postmodernity)에 대한 사회과학적 이해를 바탕으로 탈근대 세계정치(postmodern global politics)의 여러 가지 사례들을 이론적인 분석틀에 입각하여 체계적으로 탐구한다. 본 강의의 탐구는 과학기술의 발달, 생산양식의 변형, 경제의 지구화 등과 같은 탈근대의 물적 조건에 대한 논의에서부터 시작될 것이다. 이러한 탐구는 군사안보, 보안첩보, 외교정치, 민주주의, 사회문화 등의 분야에서 발생하고 있는 탈근대 세계정치의 변화와 연속성에 대한 논의로 연결될 것이다. 특히 본 강의는 탈근대의 시대를 맞이하는 세계정치의 변화를 대변하는 키워드로서 정보화(informatization)에 주목할 것이다.

수업진행:

본 강의는 학생들이 교재를 미리 읽고 벌이는 자유로운 토론과 담담교수의 토론정리용 강의의 방식으로 진행될 것이다. 원래 본 강의는 3-4학년 학생들을 대상으로 개설되었으나, 2학년 학생들도 참여할 수 있도록 교재와 토론의 난이도를 조정할 예정이다. 또한 각자 관심있는 주제에 대한 학기말 보고서의 작성을 위한 지도도 이루어질 것이다.
